Happy New Year!

Dear friends,

With the New Year fast approaching, I want to thank you again for everything you've done for me over the past year.

I've spent a lot of time reflecting on the year we've spent together -- in living rooms and classrooms, health clinics and workplaces all across Massachusetts. You opened up your homes and neighborhoods. I cannot thank you enough.

I'm also thinking about the families across Massachusetts that are suffering this winter, dealing with illness and insecurity. We have too many families struggling with drug addiction, and gun violence, too many facing foreclosure, and far too few getting the mental health services they need.

In January, I will take office as your next Attorney General and get to work for those families. That's what it means to be the people's lawyer. That's why we worked so hard together for the past year. I am honored to take up that challenge and help make our state even stronger.

Wishing you and your families a safe and happy New Year!
